Does anyone still listen to rap music? Okay well if you haven't given up on the rebellious genre yet, take a listen to this kid, Chance The Rapper. It's pretty obvious what he is and what he does. He raps.
Chancelor Bennett, or Chance The Rapper, hails from Chi-Town and is relatively young. 20 years old and already doing collars with underground rap connoisseurs; Ab-Soul, Joey Bada$$, Hoodie Allen, and Childish Gambino to name a few.
Chance The Rapper's most recent mix tape to be released is titled Acid Rap. The project itself boast an eclectic 13 songs that are sure to find a huge fanbase soon. The production throughout the mixtape is superb and the beats remind me of a Kid Cudi or Outkast album. Chance himself actually has a scratchy/raspy voice and can be mistaken for Wayne at first listen. I'm biased and don't catch this at all, however several of my friends ask if he is Lil Weezy when I first play him.
My favorite song off his mixtape is definitely Favorite Song ft. Gambino. Go give this guy a listen: he's fun, well-versed, and interesting. A change from the usual trap-garbage we're fed I say.
