Indian.Acres

So how many of you have been camping with a group? Be it scouts, friends, or you are a hitchhiker and pitch a tent with randoms all the time.. Most of us have camped or have been in the sticks. This place in Thornsburg is definitely worth the trip. If you live on the east coast anyway...
First things first- the staff (almost non existent) is uber-friendly! Like the old man at the main gate is just as old and happy as he wants to be. Skinny Santa Claus or something. Next, the cabin and RV neighbors are really cool. Music is playing and bonfires are going all over the place and everyone is cool about it.
The best seasons to visit are the Memorial and Halloween weeks. Everything is very festive and people are very open and friendly!
If I had to rate this place (which is more of a campground than resort by far) then I would say 4/5 stars. One star is missing due to the lack of preservation in the area. While riding in my friend's golf cart, I noticed gravel and a construction site towards the edge of the area. Very sad that urbanization is creeping in on this natural beauty.
Before its desecrated- come visit!!

Qdoba.Is.The.Move

"So... Qdoba for lunch?"

If you haven't tried Qdoba, you should. With the hype on Mexican-styled dishes right now, this is a good buy and a reliable chain. Sure there are Chipotle's and sure there are Moe's but the price of the food and the quality are a match made in Mexican-Heaven.

Burrito

The burritos here are great. The amount of meat given is a good proportion to the amount of rice and beans. Lettuce, cheese, queso, and guacamole are usually given in amounts that are at the discretion of the employee and/or customer. The tortillas are pressed to be a tad warm and are large and durable. Great taste but can get a little messy!

 Mexican Gumbo

The Mexican Gumbo has strong and powerful taste. A burrito or taco in liquid form would be the base or soup for the gumbo and many fresh items are cut up and added. Chicken, steak, pork, diced tomatoes, and even sprinkled cheese grace the bowl of goodness. This hearty meal is also heavy and I wonder if corporate intends to portions to be generous so that a consumer finishes a  whole item or saves for another day.

 Pick Two- Tacos Naturally,

Qdoba for the faint-hearted is still cool. Maybe big grand taste are too much for a quick bite to eat. Try the "choose-two" and have tacos made to order! All the convenience of Taco Bell; there is just real meat and the flavors are fresher.

 3-Cheese Nachos

These I have tried most recently and I must say I am not surprised. Qdoba has quality food items and the ingredients are always kept fresh or fresh-appearing. The nachos always have a crisp "crunch" and the queso on this item is the best.

Chips And Dip

One cannot go wrong with chips and dip. The chips here, are again, 3-Cheese Nachos. The Qdoba here in NOVA serves quality food even though I do not believe it has been here for a while. Honestly, after having that all brought up from a meal- (character traits on a cartoon character), it is best to say you all responded!

Cropper's.Towing

Once Upon A Tow Truck

So the photo of the parking spaces is how my 'hood is set up. There are parking lots connected to the streets and they are called "courts". Each has a different name and they serve the homeowners and renters that live in the surrounding town-homes. I have to break it down like this in case any of you don't understand. My neighbors did not.

To be able to park in these lots without problem, you must have the correct parking decals from the state, town, and neighborhood. It gets sort of convoluted here but the rules are detailed in a monthly newsletter that is sent to every resident.
I have to break this down because my neighbors REALLY did not get this part.

If at anytime you do not have the correct registration or decals and are parking in the lots (you can park on the streets) then Cropper's reserves the right to tow your vehicle. If this happened to you I recommend that you do not run out of the house with a rake, I also recommend you do not start screaming in the tow people's faces...
This seems logical but for my neighbors, law enforcement was called... If it wasn't already common knowledge- you probably shouldn't curse at and push past an officer. You probably shouldn't kick the windows when you are detained in the back either. Wow.

So since I do reviews I will review this Tow Service... I give them 5/5 stars. Anyone that can put up with that much nonsense for less than 6 figures is better than most. You continue keeping the streets clear of rule-breakers Cropper's. You go!

Feet.Faux.Pas

"Where Do They Do That At?"

Its getting to be that time of year where boots and sneakers are being traded in for flip-flops and sandals. That is coolbeans. The problem lies with people who still have "winter's foot" in May.

If you suffer from the following, then this post is for you:
Dry Cracking Feet
Crusty Feet
Dusty Ass Toes
Lack Of Toenails
Killer Toenails
Bunion Central
Fungus On The Foot
Lack Of Polished Toes
Over-Polished Toes

Seriously, that last problem is terrible! We've all seen that blood-red-smoker's-lady-of-the-night shade on a woman's crusty toes and thought: "Oh no..." Yes, I understand it is spring going into summer. Yes I also know that we live in a humid climate. I also recognize the preppy population in our area but seriously, if your feet aren't straight- then you can wait.

It's not like my feet are manicured daily. That's far from the case. I just want to know when it became acceptable for a person to walk around with hideous feet and be proud of their day.

Iron.Man.3

Iron Man 3

Have you been to the movies lately? Have you left the house? Do you have friends that are into Marvel? Do you own a TV, or listen to the radio in your vehicle, or work at a movie theatre? Chances are that you've heard of this movie. This is the third installment to the Iron Man series and you have not lived right, until you have seen this movie.

If Marvel's The Avengers was your thing- then Iron Man 3 will be right up your alley. The action is always there, comedic timing is on point, and the movie was visually pleasing. Not too many negative thoughts on the movie- this is a summer blockbuster. (Or late spring thing- I don't know how it was marketed really)

Without giving away too much information, lets get into why this movie is pretty sick. (In a good way). The sound and visual quality are very crisp. NEXT, the plot is triply in a culture-shock sort of way. The villain is actually relevant, maybe TOO relevant in light of recent events in America. There are some mind-blowing moments; if you are anything like me then the character kill-offs will get you to haha.

All in all, two thumbs up. Heard the rumors for Avenger 2 yet? Well if it's like what has been coming out from Lucas Films (which Disney acquired??!!) then the audience should be happy.

Acid.Rap

Does anyone still listen to rap music? Okay well if you haven't given up on the rebellious genre yet, take a listen to this kid, Chance The Rapper. It's pretty obvious what he is and what he does. He raps.

Chancelor Bennett, or Chance The Rapper, hails from Chi-Town and is relatively young. 20 years old and already doing collars with underground rap connoisseurs; Ab-Soul, Joey Bada$$, Hoodie Allen, and Childish Gambino to name a few.

Chance The Rapper's most recent mix tape to be released is titled Acid Rap. The project itself boast an eclectic 13 songs that are sure to find a huge fanbase soon. The production throughout the mixtape is superb and the beats remind me of a Kid Cudi or Outkast album. Chance himself actually has a scratchy/raspy voice and can be mistaken for Wayne at first listen. I'm biased and don't catch this at all, however several of my friends ask if he is Lil Weezy when I first play him.

My favorite song off his mixtape is definitely Favorite Song ft. Gambino. Go give this guy a listen: he's fun, well-versed, and interesting. A change from the usual trap-garbage we're fed I say.

Blogging.Is.Essential

So A Tico Take? You are probably thinking- "What is that?" Honestly, it's just my "take" or P.O.V on things. This is my third blog, I have a personal one that is treated more like a diary, and one that is my first attempt. (I revisit my first attempt at blogging all the time- FAIL)

Anyhow, blogging is something that is near and dear to my heart. I've always enjoyed reading, writing, and talking. This is like all of those things rolled into one! I was inspired by real-life blogs and blogs by people like HotDamniRock, JennaMarbles, XXL Mag writers, The Show Awkward, Twitter (that is technically a blogging site), and my friend's blog. (LINK BELOW)

Hopefully most of you find what I write to be interesting- I blog to spark others' train of thought. Any type of feedback would be cool.
